Superworms (Zophobas morio) are a different species from normal mealworms and are much larger, being about 1.5 inches long. They are just naturally larger than the giant mealworms, which achieve their size from growth hormones. Bluebirds are attracted to Superworms because Superworms are more active than normal mealworms.
Superworms are a great value because they are several times the size of a normal mealworm. Because of that, bluebirds get much more food with each bite!
Unlike mealworms, Do Not Refrigerate Superworms! It will kill them. Store between 70 and 80 degrees F. Complete care instructions are included.
Note: During periods of warm weather, these worms are shipped 2nd day air to ensure you receive live, healthy worms.
